Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on Route 8 in Seymour

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge maintenance will continue on Route 8 North and South between Exits 19 and 24 in Seymour through Friday, October 18, 2019.

The project consists of Bridge Maintenance including asphaltic plug joint repairs on Route 8 north and south between Exits 19 and 24 in Seymour.  The work is scheduled to begin operation Tuesday, August 20, 2019 and continue until Friday, October 18, 2019.  This work is being performed by DOT Maintenance. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am (Sunday evening - Friday mornings).

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 north and southbound between Exits 19 and 24 in Seymour.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
