Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 South in Fairfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project

will be performed on I-95 southbound in Fairfield, beginning on the evening of Monday, January 6, 2020.

 

The project consists of full depth deck repair on Bridge #00092 (Rt.1 overpass) in Fairfield.

This project is scheduled to occur on the evening of Monday, January 6, 2020 to the morning of Friday, January 10, 2020.

 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with the bridge full depth deck repair being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 South between Exit 25 (Commerce Dr./State St.) and Exit 23 (Rt.1 Kings Hwy) in Fairfield.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00pm to 6:00am.  (Monday evening to Friday morning).

    

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
