Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 between Greenwich and New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 North and South between Greenwich and New Haven, Monday, October 14, through Friday, November 1, 2019.

 

The project consists of Drainage (Scupper) Cleaning to various bridges on I-95 North and South between Greenwich and New Haven.

 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with drainage (scupper) cleaning being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect a moving operation with various lane closures on I-95 North and South between Exit 2 (Delavan Ave.) in Greenwich and Exit 50 (Woodard Ave./Lighthouse Pt.) in New Haven. A moveable sign pattern will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.  (Monday through Thursday evenings).

    

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
