Nighttime Bridge Maintenance at the I-91- I-95 split in New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the I-91 & I-95 SB split in New Haven, overnight Thursday-Friday, December 12-13, 2019.

 

The project consists of Emergency Asphaltic Joint Repair on the I-91 & I-95 SB, Bridge #03032 (Rt. 34 overpass) in New Haven. This project is scheduled to occur on the evening of Thursday, December 12, 2019 to the morning of Friday, December 13, 2019.

 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program with work being performed by state forces.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 South between Exit 2 (Hamilton St.) and I-95 South Exit 46 (Sargent Dr. / Long Wharf) in New Haven.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. (Thursday evening to Friday morning).

    

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
