Motorist Reminder: Route 1 in Stamford over I-95 (Including Two I-95 Ramps) Scheduled to Temporarily Close for the Weekend of August 16, 2019

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Route 1 (East Main Street) Bridge over I-95 at Exit 9 in Stamford will be temporarily closed to install approach slabs for the newly installed bridge beginning on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 6 PM, until Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 6 PM.  In addition, the Exit 9 southbound off-ramp and the Route 1 northbound on-ramp will be also be closed. Both I-95 ramps at Seaside Avenue as well as the Exit 9 northbound off-ramp and northbound on-ramp, will be remain open to motorists throughout the weekend. 

All travel lanes on I-95 will be open and unaffected by the Route 1 weekend construction. The Route 1 closure is the third and final time the road will be closed for the bridge project.
