Installation and Revisions of Traffic Control Signals in various Towns Statewide
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction for Project No. 0172-0443/444 - the installation and revision of traffic signals in various towns/cities - is scheduled to start April 1, 2019.
The project consists of upgrades to traffic control signals at 16 locations in the towns/cities of Ashford, Clinton, Colchester, Durham, East Haddam, Groton, Mansfield, Middletown, New London, Norwich, Old Saybrook, Putnam and Windham.

- Colchester – Route 85 at Route 16 (Main St.) (Intersection #028-212)
- Groton - Route 1 at Route 117 (Intersection #058-214)
- Norwich – Route 82 & 32 at Route 32 & 2 (West Main St.) (Intersection #103-218)
- Putnam – Route 44 & 12 at Route 171 (Providence St.) (Intersection #115-209)
- Windham – Route 6 at Northridge Dr. (Intersection #163-236)

- Ashford – Route 44 at Route 74 (Intersection #003-201)
- Clinton – Route 1 at Mallard Lane & Meadow Rd. (Intersection #027-215)
- Durham – Route 17 at Route 79 (Intersection #037-201)
- East Haddam – Route 151 at Joe Williams Rd. (Intersection #040-202)
- Mansfield – Route 195 at Cedar Swamp Rd. (Intersection #077-232)
- Middletown – Route 217 at Eastlake & Westlake Dr. (Intersection #082-240)
- New London – Huntington St at Federal St. (Intersection #094-236)
- Old Saybrook – Route 154 at Reservoir Rd. (Intersection #105-222)
- Windham – Route 14 at Route 203 (Intersection #163-238)
DOT Project No. 0172-443/444 was awarded to Paramount Construction, LLC at a cost of $2,597,326.32 on June 29, 2018, and is scheduled to be completed on November 15, 2019.
LANE CLOSURE INFO – Temporary traffic impacts (consisting of daily shoulder and/or lane closures) may occur at above noted intersections starting on or after April 1, 2019.
