Guiderail Installation along I-95 in Greenwich

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on I-95 northbound and southbound in Greenwich, beginning Monday, July 1, through Friday, August 16, 2019.

 

This project consists of guiderail installation on a 1,500 foot segment of the I-95 NB, Exit 5 off and on ramp and I-95 SB on ramp from Route 1(East Putnam Ave.) in Greenwich.

 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s safety improvement program and is being performed by Atlas Industrial Services. 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on the I-95 NB Exit 5 off and on ramp and I-95 SB on ramp from Route 1(East Putnam Ave.) in Greenwich. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday)

No lane closures will occur from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019. 

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
