Full Depth Pavement Reconstruction and Paving on Route 32 in Willington on Friday November 8, Through Monday Morning, November 11, 2019
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that full depth reconstruction of approximately 500 feet of Route 32 in Willington will take place Friday night, November 8, 2019, at 6:00 PM, and end Monday morning, November 11, 2019, at 6:00 AM.
Also, 100 feet of Village Hill Road at Route 32 will undergo full depth reconstruction requiring a detour starting Friday night, November 8 at 6:00 PM and ending on Monday morning, November 11, 2019 at 6:00 AM.
Motorists can expect lane closures utilizing alternating one way traffic on Route 32 between I-84 Exit 70 and Schofield Road in Willington. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed while driving in this vicinity.
DOT Project No. 0160-0147 was awarded to PJF Construction Corporation on May 6, 2019, at a cost of $1,915,304.50, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November, 2019. The project consists of bridge rehabilitation and full depth roadway reconstruction on Route 32 over South Branch Roaring Brook (Bridge 02259) and Village Hill Road, in Willington.
