Daytime Lane Closures for Highway Sign Repairs

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that daytime lane closures for sign repairs are being performed on Route 8 southbound in Thomaston between Exits 38 & 37, and I-84 westbound in Danbury between Exits 5 & 4. This work is expected to be completed by January 31, 2020.31st 2020.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect right lane closures on RT 8 S/B Thomaston exit 38-37, and I84 Danbury exit 5-4.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) Some Saturdays may be included weather permitting.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
