Bridge Rehabilitation in Norwalk - Route 136 over Norwalk River

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities will begin on April 1, 2019, for the rehabilitation of the bridge carrying Route 136 over the Norwalk River in Norwalk. 

The project involves the rehabilitation of Bridge 02295.  Work includes repairs to the deck and riding surface on the bridge, concrete repairs to the substructure, structural steel repairs, repairs to the navigational fender system, minor mechanical and electrical upgrades, and the replacement of a waste water line connection to the control house. 

Work is anticipated to be completed by November 4, 2019, at a contract value of $3,125,031.
