Bridge Maintenance on Route 72 South in New Britain

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Rte. 72 South in New Britain on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

The project consists of bridge maintenance, overhead bridge repair, on Rt. 72 South, Bridge #4247 (High St. underpass), from Exit 8 to Exit 9 in New Britain. 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorist can expect a left lane closure on Rte.72 South from Exit 8 to Exit 9 in New Britain.

Traffic control personnel, state police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Saturday)

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
