Bridge Maintenance on Interstate 95 Southbound in New London

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project       will be performed on I-95 southbound in New London, Wednesday, September 4, through Friday, September 6, 2019.

 

The project consists of structural steel repair on Bridge #02514A (SR 635 overpass) in New London.

 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s Bridge Maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction, LLC.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left lane closures on Interstate 95 Southbound from Exit 85 to Exit 82 in Groton and New London. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

(Wednesday-Friday)  

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
