Bridge Maintenance and Lighting Repairs on I-95 North and South in New Haven

 

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 North and South in New Haven, beginning Monday, November 18, 2019.

 

The project consists of luminaire repair on the I-95 North and South Bridge #00174A (Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge) over Metro North in New Haven.  This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, November 18, 2019 through Friday, December 13, 2019.

 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with the bridge luminaire repair being performed by Mohawk Inc.

 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 North and South between Exit 50 (Woodward Ave. / Lighthouse Pt.) and Exit 46 (Sargent Dr./Long Wharf) in New Haven.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Tuesday morning November 26, 2019 to Friday December 13, 2019 afternoon)

 

** No lane closures will occur from 6:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
