ADA Construction of Concrete Sidewalk Ramps on Tunxis Hill Cutoff in Fairfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that ADA construction of concrete sidewalk ramps will continue on Route 58 (Tunxis Hill Cutoff, Black Rock Turnpike) in Fairfield through Friday, November 8, 2019.

 

This work is being performed by Laydon Industries, LLC.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 58 (Tunxis Hill Cutoff, Black Rock Turnpike) in Fairfield between Route 1 (Kings Hwy East) and Camp Mortar Drive.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday). No lane closures will occur from 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2019 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
