Wire Pulling Over Route 15 in Stratford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Eversource Energy will be pulling transmission cables over Route 15 northbound and southbound in Stratford, beginning Sunday, October 22, 2017.

The project consists of pulling new transmission wires on existing structures. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday October 22, 2017 on Route 15 NB & SB between Exit 52 and Exit 53.

     This project is being performed by the Eversource Energy.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic halts on Route 15 NB & SB between Exit 52 (Exit to Route 8 NB) and Exit 53 (Route 110, Main Street).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. During the traffic halt, State Police cruisers and crash trucks will be utilized to stop all traffic flow in both directions of Route 15 for a maximum of 20 minutes between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Only one traffic halt is expected during the work hours. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to

10:00 a.m. on Sunday October 22, 2017.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
