Utility Project on Route 372 (Corbin Ave.) in New Britain

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that utility work will be performed on

Route 372 (Corbin Ave.) in New Britain, beginning Monday, July 31, 2017.

The utility project consists of installing a storm water main from Route 372 (Corbin Ave.) onto Hart Street in New Britain. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 31, 2017 to Friday, August 4, 2017.

This project is being performed by the City of New Britain and VMS Construction under Encroachment Permits # 1015479.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists travelling northbound can expect a traffic detour from Route 372 (Corbin Ave.) to Lincoln Street

onto West End Avenue and back onto Route 372 (Corbin Ave.). Southbound traffic will not be detoured off

of Route 372 (Corbin Ave.). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
