Temporary Traffic Shift for the Rehabilitation of Bridge 06692, Route 63 (Straits Turnpike) over Wooster Brook in Middlebury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a temporary traffic shift for staged construction will begin Thursday, April 27, 2017, on Route 63 located approximately 0.1 miles south of I-84 in Middlebury, weather permitting. The traffic shift is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new culvert.
Project No. 0080-0130 was awarded to Schultz Corporation of Terryville, Connecticut on March 27, 2017 at a cost of $1,756,446.94 and is scheduled to be completed in November 2017. 

DETOUR / LANE CLOSURE INFO

The new temporary traffic pattern for Stage 1 construction is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 27, 2017 and will last for approximately three (3) months. After which a new temporary traffic pattern will be announced and implemented for the next stage.
One lane will be maintained in each direction for Route 63. Lanes will be maintained at the I84 EB off-ramps onto Route 63.
