Start of Construction on Merritt Parkway in Greenwich
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities on the Merritt Parkway northbound between interchanges 29 and 31.
The project consists of pipe jacking a new drainage pipe under the Merritt Parkway to increase the flow capacity of the Horseneck Brook to the Putnam Lake reservoir.  Construction access to the project jacking pits is only available from the Merritt Parkway therefore motorists should be aware of new concrete barrier installation and construction vehicles entering and exiting the project access roads at any time.
DOT Project No. 0056-0307 was awarded to New England Infrastructure, Inc. at a cost of $3,897,979.40 on August 14, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed November 27, 2018. 
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Lane closures on Route 15 northbound are only allowed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and on Route 15 southbound from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on weekdays.  Allowable lane closure hours are extended on weekends.  The majority of the project work will be completed behind barrier on a temporary access road on Route 15 northbound and southbound.
