Route 207 at Ayers Brook in Franklin Closed July 13, 2017, to July 27, 2017
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the two week closure of Route 207 at Ayers Brook in Franklin, to facilitate the replacement of Bridge Number 06777. The closure will begin on Thursday, July 13, 2017, and the roadway will reopen on Thursday, July 27, 2017.  
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Detour Route: Route 207 East: Follow Route 32, south to Baltic Road. 
Route 207 West: Follow Baltic Road South to Route 32 North.
The project consists of the removal of the existing culvert and installation of a new box culvert under Route 207 and replacement of the existing headwall and wingwalls. The project also involves roadway reconstruction including excavation and paving in the area of the culvert and the installation of metal beam rail.
DOT Project No. 0052-0090 was awarded to New England Road, Inc. of Clinton, CT, at a cost of $554,372.00 on October 28, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2017.
