The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the rehabilitation of bridge 04326, Route 175 over Amtrak in Newington, is beginning Stage 4 construction on September 08, 2017. One lane in each direction will be provided all times with occasional alternating one-way traffic.
Route 175 will have one lane in each direction from 8:00 PM Friday, September 08, 2017 through 6:00 AM September 11, 2017. Generally, Route 175 will have one lane in each direction, Monday through Friday - 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Saturday through Sunday – 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Project Details:
The project consists of a full superstructure replacement and widening, concrete sidewalk on the north side of the bridge, new drainage, paving and line striping work. In later months, traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction over two separate weekends in order to remove existing concrete box beams and install precast bridge units used in the bridge span replacement.
