Resurfacing Project along South Main Street and Lawnacre Road in Windsor Locks

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 2.59-mile section of  Route 159 (South Main St.) and State Route 569 (Lawnacre Rd.) in Windsor Locks, beginning on Monday, June 19, 2017. 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.59 mile segment of Route 159 (South Main St.) and SR 569 (Lawnacre Rd.) in Windsor Locks.  The milling portion of this project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 19, 2017 to Friday, June 23, 2017. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 to Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 159 (South Main St.) from the south junction of Route 140 (Elm Street) to the Windsor town line and SR 569 (Lawnacre Rd.) from Route 159 (South Main St.) to the exit from I-91 NB in Windsor Locks. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to

4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday)

The first day of milling and paving will begin at 5:00 a.m. to get through the intersection of the south junction of Route 140 (Elm Street).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
