                 Resurfacing on Route 42 (Litchfield Tpk.) and SR 703 in Bethany

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a resurfacing project will be performed on Route 42 (Litchfield Turnpike) and SR 703 in Bethany, beginning Thursday, September 7, 2017.

The project consists of resurfacing 1.29 miles of Route 42 (Litchfield Tpk.) and .20 mile of SR 703 in Bethany. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, September 7, 2017 through Monday, September 11, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 42 (Litchfield Tpk.) from the end of the overlap of Route 63 (Amity Rd.) to Route 69 (Carrington Road), Route 42 (Litchfield Tpk.) from SR 703  to .02 mile south of the begin overlap of Route 63 (Amity Rd.) and on SR 703 from Route 63 (Amity Road) to Route 42 (Litchfield Tpk.) Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
