Relocation of Northbound On-Ramp to Route 15 at Interchange 65 in Wallingford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that during the next phase of construction on Route 15 Northbound in Wallingford at Interchange 65,  that a shoulder closure will be implemented until early June, 2017.

Project 148-200 began in June of 2016.  The purpose of the project is to relocate the interchange 65 on-ramp from the west side of Hall Avenue to the East side of Hall Avenue.  The new configuration will allow an acceleration lane for traffic entering Route 15 northbound instead of merging from a stop.
Project construction has been sequenced in 10 phases.  The current phase, installing the proposed on-ramp results in a temporary closure of the right shoulder east of the bridge.  This phase is scheduled to be completed within 30 working days.
The project is currently on schedule to be completed in August, 2017.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
