Rehabilitation of Bridge 06777, Route 207 over Ayers Brook in Franklin
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work for rehabilitation of Bridge 06777, Route 207 over Ayers Brook in Franklin.
The project consists of removing the existing culvert structure and replacing it with a 9-foot by 6-foot box culvert. The entire structure, including the wingwalls and cut off and return walls will be precast.
The use of accelerated bridge construction techniques will be used to complete the project.
DOT Project No. 0052-0090 was awarded to New England Road, Inc. at a cost of $554,372 on 10/28/2016 and is scheduled to be completed September 1, 2017.

Route 207
General project activity (lane/shoulder closures) may impact the traveling public during the following time periods:
  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM
This project will also implement a 9-mile detour that will be in place for two weeks. This detour will take place after school is no longer in session and will not be during the week of any major holiday.  A future press will be issued once the exact dates of the detour are determined.
