New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) Rail Program

Construction Update: Town of Windsor – Meadow Road Railroad Crossing Work

September 18 – 29, 2017

Beginning on Monday, September 18th until Friday, September 29th, the existing Meadow Road railroad crossing in Windsor will have weekday one-way alternating traffic during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

WEEKEND/OVERNIGHT ACTIVITY: In addition, beginning on Friday, September 22nd at 6:00 p.m. and continuing through Monday, September 25th at 6:00 p.m. the railroad crossing will be closed to through traffic.

The work above is necessary to accommodate railroad crossing improvements.

Traffic personnel will be in place throughout the duration of construction. Signs, variable message boards and detour routes alerting the public of the detour/closure will be posted on-site.
