New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) Rail Program

Construction Update: Town of Windsor – Meadow Road Railroad Crossing Work

September 18 – 29, 2017

Beginning on Monday, September 18^th until Friday, September 29^th, the existing Meadow Road railroad crossing in Windsor will have weekday one-way alternating traffic during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

WEEKEND/OVERNIGHT ACTIVITY: In addition, beginning on Friday, September 22^nd at 6:00 p.m. and continuing through Monday, September 25^th at 6:00 p.m. the railroad crossing will be closed to through traffic.

The work above is necessary to accommodate railroad crossing improvements.

Traffic personnel will be in place throughout the duration of construction. Signs, variable message boards and detour routes alerting the public of the detour/closure will be posted on-site.

This work is part of the overall upgrade of the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield rail line – now branded as the CTrail Hartford Line – scheduled to begin expanded service in May 2018.
