     Nighttime Street Sweeping on I-84 in Newtown to NY State Line

   

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing an overnight street sweeping project on I-84 eastbound and westbound, beginning the evening of Thursday, May 18, and ending the morning of Friday, May 19, 2017. Work hours will be 8 pm to 3 am.

The project consists of nighttime street sweeping on I-84 eastbound and westbound from Exit 9 in Newtown, Danbury, Bethel and Brookfield to the New York state line.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Impact Attenuators, signing patterns, and cones will be utilized to guide motorists through the worksite.  Traffic will be alternating from left lane to right lane. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
