                                                Nighttime Resurfacing Project on Route 1 in Darien

       

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 3.81-mile section of Route 1 in Darien, Tuesday, September 14, through Friday, October 13, 2017. Work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing the 3.81 miles of Route 1 in Darien.  This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, September 14, 2017 through Friday, October 13, 2017.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday night September 14, 2017 through Friday morning October 6, 2017.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday night September 27, 2017 through Friday morning October 13, 2017.

     LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from .10 mile north of Stamford Town Line to Norwalk Town Line.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  (Sunday through Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
