Nighttime Resurfacing Project on I-395 Southbound in Killingly and Plainfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-395 southbound in Killingly and Plainfield, beginning Sunday, September 10, 2017.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.25 mile segment of I-395 SB in Killingly and Plainfield.  The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2017, through Friday, September 22, 2017.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, September 25, 2017, through Saturday, October 7, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-395 SB between Whetstone Brook in Killingly to the Plainfield Rest Area.  Two state troopers, crash attenuator vehicles, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
