      Nighttime Resurfacing Project along Route 1 (Boston Post Rd.) in West Haven

       

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 (Boston Post Road) in West Haven, beginning Sunday, August 6, 2017.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.32 miles of Route 1 (Boston Post Road) in West Haven.  This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, August 6, 2017 through Friday, August 25, 2017.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, August 6, 2017 through Friday, August 11, 2017.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, August 20, 2017 through Friday, August 25, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 (Boston Post Rd.) from .10 mile south of Tuthill Street to the New Haven City Line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
