         Nighttime Resiliency Steel Gas Main Installation along I-91 in Wallingford 

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime project will occur on I-91 northbound and southbound in Wallingford, beginning Monday, October 30, 2017.

The project consists of attaching a 16” gas main to the bridge on Rte. 68 (Barnes Rd.) that crosses over I-91 SB & NB in Wallingford at Exit 15 NB & SB. This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. from

Monday, October 30, 2017 to the morning of Friday, November 17, 2017.

The project will be performed by Eversource Energy under an Encroachment permit.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate I-91 SB & NB at Exit 15 (Route 68, Barnes Rd.) in Wallingford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule might become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
