Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing, Route 83 (Talcottville Rd.) in Vernon

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 2.57-mile segment of Route 83 (Talcottville Road) in Vernon, Sunday, August 27, through Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Work hours will be 7 pm to 5 am.

The milling portion of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, August 27, to Tuesday, September 5. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Thursday, September 7, to Wednesday, September 20.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 83 (Talcottville Rd.) from Wilshire Road to SR 527 (West Street). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday-Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
