    Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 1 (Bridgeport Ave.) in Milford

       

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on Route 1 (Bridgeport Ave.) in Milford through May 31, 2017. No work will take place over the Memorial Day weekend.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.55 miles of Route 1 (Bridgeport Ave.) in Milford.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 to the morning of Wednesday, May 31, 2017.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday, May 11, 2017 through Friday, May 19, 2017.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, May 21, 2017 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

No work will occur during the Memorial Day weekend from Friday, May 26, 2017 through Monday,

May 29, 2017.  Work will resume on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 (Bridgeport Ave.) from Rivercliff Drive (NB) to School House Road.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  (Sunday through Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
