Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on I-91 in Rocky Hill and Wethersfield

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on I-91 in Rocky Hill and Wethersfield through Thursday, September 24, 2017. 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 7.67 mile segment of I-91 northbound and southbound in Rocky Hill and Wethersfield.  This milling portion of this project is scheduled to be complete by Thursday, August 24, 2017. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, July 30, 2017, and continue through Thursday, September 14, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 SB from .52 miles south of the Route 3 NB (Cromwell Ave.) overpass to .20 miles south of the SSR 411 (West St.) overpass and I-91 NB from .09 miles south of the SSR 411 (West St.) overpass, to .04 miles north of the Elm St. underpass, including ramps.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday) and 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday-Thursday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
