Nighttime Bridge/Road Closure Scheduled for the Stroffolino Bridge (Route 136) over the Norwalk River in Norwalk
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled nighttime bridge/road closure of the Stroffolino Bridge (Route 136) over the Norwalk River in Norwalk.  The closure will take place beginning on Tuesday, August 29, at 10:00 PM and  will end  on Wednesday,  August 30, at 6:00 AM with a rain date of August 30/August 31.
The closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the rehabilitation and storm armoring of the Stroffolino Bridge.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Full closure and detour of route 136 at the Stroffolino Bridge beginning at 10:00 PM, August 29th and ending at 6:00 AM, August 30th.
Detour signage for both vehicles and pedestrians will be provided to safely navigate through the work zone.
Local businesses access will be maintained at all times and marked with additional signage to direct customers.
DOT Project No. 0102-0357 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $1,627,973.50 on February 2, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed September 3, 2017.
