Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on Route 8 in Trumbull

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 8 in Trumbull, beginning Monday, April 24, 2017. 

The work consists of bridge maintenance on the bridges listed below.  This work is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 to the morning of Friday, May 12, 2017.

  • Trumbull-Bridge #05256 Route 15 northbound underpass
  • Trumbull-Bridge #05257 Route 15 southbound underpass

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 NB & SB between Exit 8 (Route 108) and Exit 11 (Huntington Road).

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
