Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Rt. 34 in New Haven

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project ill be performed on Route 34 in New Haven, beginning Monday, May 1, 2017. Lane closures will be required.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on Rt. 34, Bridge #00333 (US 1 & Metro North RR) in New Haven.   This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, May1, to the morning of Friday, May 12, 2017.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program and is being performed by state forces..

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone Exit 2 (North Frontage Road) to the I-95 & I-91 Interchange. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday–Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
