Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Rt. 136 (Washington St.) in Norwalk

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 136 (Washington St.), beginning December 20, 2017.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on Bridge No. 2295 (Norwalk River overpass) in Norwalk. This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 to the morning of Thursday, December 21, 2017.

 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Mohawk Northeast.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures and bridge closures on Route 136 (Washington St.) in Norwalk. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
