Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along I-95 in New London and Waterford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in New London and Waterford, beginning Monday, May 1, 2017. Lane closures will be required.

This work consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 Bridge #00354 (Vauxhall St underpass) over I-95 S/B and N/B in the towns of New London and Waterford. Work hours will be from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. from Monday, May 1, 2017 to the morning of Friday, May 19, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left lane closure on I-95 SB & NB in the towns of New London and Waterford,

SB between Exit 83 (Frontage Rds.) to Exit 82 (Rt. 85) and NB between Exit 81 (Cross Rd.) to Exit 83 (Rt. 32 North). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
