Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along I-95 in Bridgeport

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in Bridgeport, beginning Monday, September 25, 2017.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 NB, Bridge #00115 (Local Roads and Yellow Mill Channel Overpass). This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 to the morning of Friday, September 22, 2017.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect delays on I-95 at Exit 28 Rte. 127 (East Main Street) to Exit 29 (Seaview Avenue), in Bridgeport. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
