Milling and Resurfacing along Route 154 in Old Saybrook

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Middlesex Turnpike (Route 154) in Old Saybrook, beginning Monday, April 17, 2017.  Lane closures will be required.

      

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.39 mile segment of Route 154 in Old Saybrook. The milling segment for this project is scheduled to occur Monday, April 17, 2017 through Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday, April 20, 2017 through Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 154 between Fenwick Street to Old Boston Post Road.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the milling work zone. Two (2) local policemen, one (1) traffic controller, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the resurfacing work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
