I-95 Southbound Bridge Street On-Ramp in Groton to be Closed Beginning December 23, 2017
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Bridge Street on-ramp to I-95 southbound in Groton will close beginning December 23, 2017.  The closure will allow for improvement to traffic flow and operations in the area as  part of the ongoing I-95 southbound Gold Star Bridge rehabilitation project in Groton and New London.  The ramp will be closed for an extended duration.
Bridge Street traffic will be detoured to Long Hill Road (SR 12) and then onto the I-95 southbound on-ramp.   
North Street traffic will be detoured to Meridian Street, Brandegee Avenue (SR 349), and then to the I-95 southbound on-ramp.

DOT Project No. 0094-0252 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. of Plantsville, Connecticut for a cost of $26 million on December 16, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed November 30, 2018.
