Guiderail Upgrade along Route 31 (Higgins Hwy) in Coventry and Mansfield

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 31 (Higgins Highway) in Coventry and Mansfield, beginning Monday, December 11, 2017.

The project consists of upgrading guiderail over a 2.67 mile segment of Route 31 (Higgins Hwy) in Coventry and Mansfield. This work is anticipated to begin on Route 31 (Higgins Hwy) in Coventry from School Street to Route 32 (Stafford Road) on Monday, December 11, 2017 to Friday, January 26, 2018.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 31 (Higgins Hwy) in Coventry from School Street to

Route 32 (Stafford Road). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for upgrading the guiderail is 8:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).  No work will be performed on the day before or after a major holiday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
