Guide Rail Installation on Route 234 (Pequot Trail) in Stonington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project – guiderail installation – will be performed on Route 234 (Pequot Trail) in Stonington, beginning Monday, May 22, 2017.

This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 22, 2017, through Friday, June 23, 2017.  No work will be performed on Monday, May 29, 2017, due to the Memorial Day holiday.

This work is being performed by PGP Group, dba Atlas Companies.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 234 (Pequot Trail) from the I-95 ramps to Route 27 (Main St.) in Stonington. PGP Group, dba Atlas Companies, traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
