First Weekend Detour Scheduled for the Replacement of Bridge 02029, Route 7 over the Norwalk River in Ridgefield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a weekend road closure is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 8:00 PM and end on Monday, June 12, 2017, at 6:00 AM.  The closure is necessary to facilitate construction activities on Bridge 02029 carrying Route 7 over the Norwalk River in Ridgefield. This will be the first of five weekend closures allowing traffic to be detoured around the construction site using Route 35 and Route 102.
LANE CLOSURE AND DETOUR INFORMATION
On  Monday June 5, 2017, alternating one-way traffic between the hours of 9:00 PM  and 5:00 AM can be expected in anticipation of the first weekend detour closure. The contractor will be allowed to close Route 7 and detour traffic via Route 35 and Route 102 for a duration of 58 hours starting at 8:00 PM on Friday and ending at 6:00 AM the following Monday.

DOT Project No. 0117-0157 was awarded to New England Infrastructure, Inc. at a cost of $3,489,712.00 on March 3, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed by September 18, 2017.
