                     Eversource Energy Wire Pulling on Route 8 in Shelton

     

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that utility work will be performed on Rte. 8 NB & SB in Shelton, beginning Sunday, October 29, 2017.

The project consists of pulling new transmission wires on existing structures on Rte. 8 NB & SB in Shelton at

Exit 12 (Old Stratford Rd.). This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday October 29, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic halts on Rte. 8 NB & SB at Exit 12 (Old Stratford Rd). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. During the traffic halt, State Police cruisers and crash trucks will be used to stop all traffic flow in both directions of Rte. 8 for a maximum of 20 minutes. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on
