Daytime Right Lane Closure on South State Street in Stamford on Saturday, September 9, 2017, for Ongoing Stamford Railroad Station Improvements
The right lane closure, from 6 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017, is necessary to accommodate construction of the new pedestrian bridge at the Stamford Railroad Station.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
A single lane on South State Street will be open to all traffic between Washington Boulevard and Atlantic Street.  Access to the drop off and pick up area for the Stamford Train Station will be closed during these times.
Stamford Police will be on site to assist buses and commuters into the right lane for a temporary drop off area.  Pedestrians can bypass the work site by using the Transportation Center’s lower level passageway to travel between Station Place and South State Street.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
