Bridge Work on Route 1 in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a lane closure on Boston Avenue (Route 1) westbound in Bridgeport beginning Monday, January 23, 2017. Work hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The project involves reducing two lanes down to one, installing temporary precast barrier and pavement markings on the westbound side of Boston Avenue. This is in preparation for future repairs necessary on Bridge No. 00325 over Stillman Pond Brook.

This extra work will be performed by Waters Construction Co. of Bridgeport. The project is being administered by the Department of Transportation Office of Construction in New Haven.
