Bridge Superstructure Replacement – Route 189 over Wash Brook in Bloomfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction will begin on October 16, 2017, weather permitting, with the removal and replacement of the Bridge 01509 superstructure carrying Route 189 over Wash Brook. 
The project consists of the removal and replacement of deck, safety rail and beams on Route 189 over Wash Brook.  Work will be performed in two stages both of which restricting traffic to North bound travel only, South bound traffic will be directed through a detour along Brown Street and Route 178, Mountain Avenue.
DOT Project No. 0011-0154 was awarded to Brunalli Construction Company at a cost of approximately $1,000,000.00 on July 21, 2017.
