Bridge Repairs along Interstate 95 in Greenwich, Stamford & Darien

    

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge repairs will continue on I-95 in Greenwich, Stamford & Darien, through the morning of Friday, June 16, 2017.

The bridge work consists of removal of loose and hollow concrete on underside of bridge deck on the bridges listed below.

  • Greenwich–Bridge # 16 under Riverside Avenue
  • Stamford-Bridge # 24 under Wilson Street
  • Stamford-Bridge # 35 under Maher Road
  • Darien-Bridge # 42 under Noroton Avenue
  • Darien-Bridge # 47 under Old Kings Highway

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program with bridge repairs and is being performed by State Forces.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 4 (Indian Field Road) and Exit 13 US 1 (Boston Post Road).

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
