Bridge Rehabilitation on Route 11 Over Cabin Brook in Colchester

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work for the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 06736, Route 11 over Cabin Brook in Colchester beginning January 20, 2017.

The project consists of the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 06736, Route 11 over Cabin Brook. The

bridge consists of three large diameter corrugated metal pipes constructed in 1972. The culverts are located on Route 11, approximately 0.9 miles east of the Route 16 interchange in the Town of Colchester.  The culverts liners are near the end of their useful life and shall be relined. Project consists of installing 60 inch corrugated metal pipes within the existing pipes.

DOT Project No. 0028-200 was awarded to Black and Warner Construction Co. Inc. at a cost of $758,394.00 on December 9, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed November 5, 2017.  This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
